Argentina July 2015: Volkswagen and Renault buck negative trend
Renault sales are up 23% in a market down 2%, mainly thanks to the new Sandero.

The Argentinean new car market confirms it is stabilising with sales down just 2% year-on-year in July to 59.777 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 370.508 units, down 16% on 2014. Volkswagen holds onto the brands pole position thanks to sales up an impressive 22% to 10.272 and 17.2% share with Renault also gaining a spotless 23% to land in 2nd place overall with 8.905 units and 14.9% vs. 10.7% (-31%) so far in 2015. The French manufacturer places the Clio Mio at #6, the new Sandero at #9, Duster at #16 and nw Logan at #19. Ford (-1%) and Chevrolet (-18%) are kicked down to #3 and #4 respectively, while Fiat remains 5th despite sales down 31%. Toyota (+16%), Mercedes (+35%), Nissan (+20%), Iveco (+44%), Chery (+76%), Kia (+99%) and Audi (+200%) also impress. Five of the Top 6 best-selling models frankly outperform the market: the VW Gol Trend (+37%) resumes its leadership above the Chevrolet Classic (+27%) and Toyota Hilux (+24%) while the Ford Fiesta Kinetic (+26%) and Toyota Etios (+12%) rank 5th and 6th. After Brazil, the Honda HR-V is sets its sights on Argentina, landing directly at #41.
