Chile April 2015: Chevrolet leads, Mazda up in market down 13%

New light vehicle sales in Chile slow down their fall in April at -13.5% to 23.084 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 86.677 deliveries, still down a harsh 24% on 2014. Chevrolet remains sovereign thanks to 3.268 sales and 14.2% share, above Kia back to the #2 spot it holds year-to-date at 2.426 and 10.5% while Nissan recedes to third place with a still above-average 8.3% share and Suzuki remains 4th at 7.6%. Toyota (7%) and Mitsubishi (6.3%) are both up one spot on March, overtaking a very weak Hyundai down to #7 and 6% vs. #3 and 9% year-to-date and #2 over the FY2014. Mazda is up two ranks to #8 and 5.1% share vs. 3.7% so far in 2015 and Great Wall (#17 at 1.4% share) leads a contingent of 23 Chinese brands adding up to 7.7% of the Chilean market in April vs. 7.9% so far in 2015.
