Taiwan October 2014: Lexus NX now up to #17!

New car sales in Taiwan are up a cool 7% year-on-year in October to 34,327 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 348,083 units, up a splendid 14% on 2013. Toyota is still the favourite car brand by very far at just under 30% share, above Mitsubishi at 10% and Nissan/Infiniti at 9.5%, with Honda (7.2%) and Mercedes (4.9%) strong this month. Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla leads away at 9.7% ahead of the Vios, RAV4 and Wish in a Top 4 100% Toyota. Great performers also include the CMC Veryca at #6, Nissan Livina at #8 and Honda Fit shooting up to #10 vs. #25 year-to-date thanks to the new model. But the big event in Taiwan this month is the thunderous arrival of the Lexus NX inside the Top 20 for its 2nd full month of sales in the country! It ranks at an astounding 17th spot thanks to 483 sales and 1.4% share.
