Sales of new Light Commercial Vehicles in France are down 4% year-on-year in August to 17,373 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 237,894 units, now up by only 120 sales or 0.05% on 2013! Brand-wise, below Renault down a harsh 16% to 26.6% share, Peugeot (+8%) overtakes Citroen (-14%) to take the 2nd spot with 18.3% share vs. 16.2% year-to-date. Ford (+45%), Volkswagen (+34%), Nissan (+7%) and Opel (+30%) also shine in the Top 10. In the models ranking, the Renault Kangoo leads but sees its advantage over the Citroen Berlingo thaw to just 43 units, with the Renault Clio IV only 8 sales below that. The Peugeot 208 is up 3 spots on July to #4 with 1,053 sales and 6.1%, the Mercedes Sprinter is up two to #9 and 4% vs. 2.8% ytd, the Peugeot 308 II continues to progress at #16, the VW Caddy is up 8 to #17, the Ford Ranger up 12 to #18, Opel Movano up 13 to #28 and the Land Rover Defender up 9 to #44.
