Croatia April 2014: VW Up up to #8 in market up 66%

Now we’re talking. New car sales in Croatia finally take off: up a huge 66% year-on-year to 4,665 registrations, by far the best month of the year so far. The year-to-date total is now up 35% to 11,994 units. Brand-wise, the Top 3 all deliver stronger market shares than their year-to-date levels: Volkswagen is a 18.4%, Skoda at 15.3% and Opel at 14.6%. Notice also BMW up 10 spots on March to #7 with 3.8% of the market, Ford up 7 to #9 and Suzuki up 15 to #20. The Skoda Octavia dominates the models sales charts once again thanks to 415 units and 8.9% share, ahead of the VW Golf at 7.1% and the Opel Astra at 6.4%, reproducing the year-to-date ranking also. The Skoda Rapid is up two ranks on last month to #6 both in April and year-to-date while the VW Up is back inside the Top 20 with a vengeance: up all the way to 8th place with 143 sales and 3.1% share.
