Bahrain March 2014: Toyota Prado reclaims leadership

New car sales in Bahrain are up a magnificent 22% year-on-year in March to 5,885 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 16,195 units, up 21% on 2013. Leader over the Full Year 2013 but down at the start of this year, the Toyota Prado reclaims the models charts leadership in March thanks to 529 sales and 9% share, however this is far from enough to climb back to #1 year-to-date at 1,533 units and 9.5% vs. 1,975 and 12.2% for the Toyota Land Cruiser, down to #3 and 7.1% in March. The Toyota Hilux ranks 2nd this month with 436 sales and 7.4% and #3 at 8% year-to-date.
The Nissan Patrol is up a huge 21 spots on February to land at a brilliant 4th place with 283 units and 4.8%, lifting it up to #10 year-to-date vs. #38 over the Full Year 2013, the Nissan Sunny is up 7 to #5, Nissan Altima up 5 to #11, Lexus LX up 7 to #12, Hyundai Accent up 12 to #16, Toyota Fortuner up 25 to #18, Kia Optima up 20 to #21, Kia Sorento up 22 to #24 and the Lexus LS is up 86 ranks to #25.
