Romania November 2013: Dacia Logan at 2nd best share in 2 years

Romanian new car sales slow down their decline in November at -4% to a still very shy 5,474 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 52,141 units, down a stiff 15% on 2012. Atop the models charts, the Dacia Logan shines with 1,290 sales and 23.6%, its 2nd best market share at home since October 2011 below only the 29.2% it hit last August. Year-to-date, the Logan now commends 18.5% of the Romanian new car market vs. 16.9% over the Full Year 2012. The Logan performance pushes Dacia up to almost 32% share nationally vs. 30% year-to-date. The Skoda Octavia (6.5%) and VW Golf (4.1%) complete the podium, both lodging very solid performances, however it is the Dacia Duster (#4 at 3.9% this month) that still holds the 2nd spot year-to-date.
The Range Rover Sport breaks into the Romanian Top 50 this month.
Further down, the Ford Fiesta is up 7 ranks on October to land in 6th place with 2.8% share vs. #9 and 1.9% year-to-date, the Opel Corsa is up a further two to #9 and 2.2% vs. #14 and 1.4%, the Suzuki SX4 is boosted by the new S-Cross model, up 11 spots to #12 and 1.5%, the Peugeot 107 is up from outside the Top 100 in October directly to #14 with 1.2% share vs. #85 and 0.2% year-to-date, the Fiat 500L is among the Top 20 best-sellers in the country for only the 2nd time ever at #19 and 53 sales, the Mazda CX-5 breaks into the Romanian Top 25 for the first time at #23 vs. #50 year-to-date, the Toyota Corolla is up to #29 vs. #83 and the Range Rover Sport breaking into the Romanian Top 50 at #45 vs. #82 year-to-date.
