Belgium October 2013: Renault teases Volkswagen for #1 spot
Renault sales are up 8% this month in Belgium…

Only brands data available for Belgium as usual, if you have access to any models data for this country please make sure to get in touch! The Belgian new car market is down 6% year-on-year in October to 39,490 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 428,961 units, up only 382 sales or 0.09% on 2012! Volkswagen is the most popular carmaker in the country this month, just: with 3,998 sales and 10.1% share, down 17% on October 2012, it is only 35 units above Renault, up 8% to 3,963 sales and 10% share. Both the Clio IV and Captur have a lot to do with this result.
…whereas Volkswagen is down 17%.
Peugeot is also strong (2008 anyone?) at 3,700 units and 9.4% share vs. 8% year-to-date, but it is down 2% on a particularly high October 2012. Other great performers this month include BMW up 7% to #5, Toyota up 6% to #10, Hyundai up a huge 33% to #11, Seat up 13% to #18, Suzuki up 24% to #19, Land Rover up 20% to #21, Mazda up 48% to #22 and Subaru up 133% to #29.
