Now we’re talking. The Greek new car market gains ground year-to-date for the 2nd month in a row and the third time in the last 4 months in July at +12% to 6,462 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total closer to equilibrium year-to-date at 36,826 units, down 4% on 2012. The Opel Corsa is up 3 ranks on June to reclaims the top spot for the third time in the last 8 months with 330 sales and 5.1%. It is nevertheless still #2 year-to-date at 1,899 units and 5.1% vs. 2,346 and 6.4% for the Toyota Yaris, down to #3 this month.
The best performer in the Top 10 is the Hyundai i20, up 9 ranks on last month to land in 2nd place, falling short of the pole position for only 3 units and 327 sales and 5.1%. Other great performers include the Ford Fiesta up 3 spots to #6, the Toyota Auris up 11 to #8, Toyota Aygo up 18 to #11, Seat Leon still extremely solid at #14, Seat Mii up a whopping 40 ranks to #17 and the Nissan Pixo up 17 to #34.
