Belgium July 2013: Audi, Volvo and Mazda on fire

Second month in a row of year-on-year decline for the Belgian new car market, down 5% in July to 34,879 registrations. The year-to-date total remains in positive territory however at 324,752 units, up 1% on 2012. Volkswagen keeps the lead of the brands ranking thanks to stable sales at 3,634 units and 10.4%, ahead of Renault at 8.7%, down a very painful 23% year-on-year, Peugeot at 8.2% (-10%), Citroen at 7.2% (-17%) and BMW at 6.9% (-12%).

Audi shines this month with sales up 16% on July 2013 to 2,336 and 6.7% in 6th place, as do Volvo up 22% to #13, Mazda up 28% to #20 and Jaguar up 98% to #30. Notice also Ford up 1% to #8, Mercedes up 7% to #9, Dacia up 10% to #10, Toyota up 4% to #11, Fiat up 15% to #14, Kia up 8% to #16, Chevrolet up 3% to #18 and Seat up 14% to #19.
