After getting a glimpse at the Top 35 models in Thailand for May, we are back to our usual pick-up ranking, made relevant by the fact that Thailand is the 1 ton pick-up factory of the world and it’s always interesting to see how these fare ‘at home’. The Toyota Hilux has reclaimed the pole position thanks to 17,878 sales and 112,420 year-to-date, ahead of its archenemy the Isuzu D-Max at 15,230 and 106,235 units. Far far below we have a little surprise: #7 in 2012 and #5 so far in 2013, the Ford Ranger is up to third place in June thanks to 2,704 sales and 6.2% share of the segment, passing traditional #3 the Mitsubishi Triton at 2,613 units and 6%. The Mazda BT-50 is also in great shape at 5.3% share.
