Israel March 2013: Focus back to #1, Citroen C-Elysee in Top 20

The Israeli new car market is down 13% year-on-year in March to 17,831 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 57,249 units, now in negative compared to 2012 at -3%. Passed by the Toyota Corolla in February, the Ford Focus is back to its traditional top spot this month thanks to 1,187 sales and 6.7% share. It is followed by the Hyundai i20 up 4 spots to #2 at a brilliant 1,100 units and 6.2% which makes it climbs into 2nd place in the year-to-date ranking as well. The Kia Picanto is up 2 ranks to round up the podium with 897 sales and 5%.
Within the Top 10, notice also the good performances of the Kia Rio up 3 spots to #5, Toyota Yaris back up 20 ranks to #7, Mazda2 up 32 to #8 and the Nissan Juke up 5 to #9. Excellent month for the Citroen C-Elysee which breaks into the Israeli Top 20 for the very first time, up a massive 43 spots to #17 at 277 units and 1.6%. The Peugeot 107 is up 35 to #19, the Peugeot 301 up 8 to #25, the Skoda Citigo is up 23 to #35 and the MG350 up a huge 72 spots to #56. The new gen Toyota RAV4 arrives at #59 while Skoda Rapid lands directly at #70.
