Sales of Light Commercial Vehicles in China are up a shy 2% year-on-year in June to 382,539 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 2,589,532 units, down 2% on 2011. Normally extremely stable, the Top 5 models ranking is a little shaken this month, as it becomes more apparent that the LCV market in China is starting to gear towards the fragmentation that characterises the other segments. The Wuling Sunshine stays on top but with 36,800 sales only it is down 28% year-on-year and hits its lowest monthly volume in at least 2 years. A far cry from the 73,302 sales it reached in January 2011…

The ChangAn Minibus is up 3 spots to land in second place, its highest ranking since it held the pole position in November 2010, with 27,008 units and up 22% on June 2011. It is still #4 year-to-date at 159,551 sales. The Foton Forland stays #3 with 26,362 units (-2%) ahead of the Wuling Rongguang/Xingwang down 2 ranks to #4 while the Wuling Hongguang rounds up the Top 5.
