China LCV’s July 2011: DongFeng Mini Van breaks into Top 5
Chinese Light Commercial Vehicle sales are down 12% year-on-year in July at 305,170 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 2,951,351 units, down 6%. No surprises on top: the Wuling Sunshine reigns but for the first time in 2011 it goes below the 50,000 units mark at 44,944 sales, a 17% drop year-on-year. Its 2011 total stands at 415,046 units (-16%).
The next 3 models see their position unchanged compared to June: the Foton Forland is #2 (-24%), followed by the Wuling Rongguang/Xingwang (-2%) and ChangAn Mini Bus (-27%). The event this month is the arrival of the DongFeng Mini Van in the Top 5 with 8,883 sales this month and 143,212 year-to-date, up an impressive 35%.
