Norway January 2012: BMW X3 & Nissan Leaf start with a bang UPDATED

Good start of the year for the Norwegian car market, up 4% on January 2011 at 10,838 registrations. The VW Golf leads the way for the 7th consecutive month with 482 sales and 4.4% share, but the rest of the ranking is completely reshuffled this month! The Toyota Yaris jumps to 2nd place at 381 units and 3.5% thanks to the new generation now well established in dealerships while the VW Tiguan breaks onto the podium for the second time in 4 months with 336 sales and 3.1%.
A couple of other models have an amazing month: the BMW X3 is up 32 spots on December and breaks into the Norwegian Top 10 most probably for the first time ever at #9 with 237 units and 2.2%, the Nissan Leaf reaches its highest position yet in the country at #13 with 210 sales and 1.9% and the Audi Q3 breaks into the Top 20 for the first time at #19 with 159 units and 1.5%.
Further down the ranking, notice the Mercedes M Class up to #43, Opel Zafira up to #48, Subaru XV landing at #51, Kia Rio at #58, Range Rover Evoque at #67 and new VW Beetle at #76.
