The French car market is down 6% over the first week of November at 25,735 registrations, and the ranking is full of surprises. First brandwise: Citroen leads the way with 16.3% share, ahead of Peugeot at 15.6% and Renault at only 11.9%, just above VW at 9.1% and Dacia at 6.7%…In the models ranking, the Peugeot 207 reclaims the pole position it held during the first half of the year, while the Renault Clio, supreme leader in the last couple of months, is down to a miserable 8th place at 2.9% share!

Dacia Sandero

For the first time in France, Dacia places two models in the weekly Top 10: the Duster at an outstanding 2nd place with 950 sales and 3.7% and the Sandero at #10 with 611 units and 2.4%. If it holds this level all month, it would be the first time the Sandero ranks within the Top 10 in France since August 2010.

Below the Citroen C3 at #3, The Citroen C4 Picasso is at a brilliant 4th place, another Top 10 stranger coming back with a vengeance, while the VW Polo stands at an excellent 5th position with 797 sales and 3.1%, better than the Clio!
