France 1 to 24 October 2011: Dacia Duster at #6

The French car market is performing brilliantly this month, up 5% over the first 3 weeks of October at 119,139 registrations. The Renault Clio resists at 6.3% share while the Peugeot 207 is back to 2nd place with 5,388 sales and 4.5%, ahead of the Citroen C3 (4.3%) and Renault Megane (4.1%).

The Renault Scenic ranks 5th at 4,110 units and 3.4%, followed by the Dacia Duster in great shape at #6 and 3,988 sales (3.3%). The VW Polo is the best-selling foreign model in 10th position with 3,043 units and 2.6%.

    1. Miguel – Dacia being 100% owned by Renault is considered a French brand in France. It is sold in the same dealerships as Renault. A bit like Skoda and Seat not really considered ‘foreign’ brands in Germany.
