Granted, it’s not the most up-to-date numbers, but thanks to Lancia Lover from www.autoweek.nl, I am able to share with you for the very first time in BestSellingCars history the Top 235 best-selling models in Europe! This is very rare so worth you clicking away!
This ranking covers 29 countries so figures are slightly higher than the JATO numbers I publish every month. While the VW Passat reaches #5 in April for the first time in over 5 years, outside the Top 10 let’s notice the Nissan Qashqai at #14 (+15%) followed by the Skoda Octavia (-2%), Seat Ibiza (+9%) and Skoda Fabia (+12%). Excellent performances of the BMW 5 Series at #24 (+97%), the Opel Meriva at #26 (+82%) and Citroen C4 at #33 (+67%).
Among newcomers the Dacia Duster does best, landing directly in 27th place with 50,312 sales, and is followed by the Nissan Juke at #42, the Audi A1 at #44, Alfa Romeo Giulietta at #47, Hyundai ix35 at #54 and Citroen DS3 at #58. Notice the Peugeot 508 at #77 with 18,945 sales and the Mini Countryman at #98 and 15,587 units.
There is only one Chinese car in the ranking: the DR1, aka Riich M1, thanks to relatively strong sales in Italy, ranking #232 at 1,184 units.
