* See the Top 50 best-selling models by clicking on the title! Many thanks to Rainer *
Thanks to Rainer and data published by Estonian website Maanteeamet, it looks like Estonia will now become a monthly rendezvous on BSCB! New car sales are down 8% year-on-year in November at 1,560 registrations, however the year-to-date total is still up a healthy 10% on 2011 at 17,526 units. And first to the big surprise in the 2012 year-to-date Estonian models ranking: the Mitsubishi i-Miev is #5 with 456 sales and 2.6% market share, however it seems like the bulk of its sales occurred earlier in the year and could be connected to a specific company or government order because i-Miev sales in November are at zero… Still, it makes Estonia the i-Miev’s best performing country in the world by far.
Toyota Avensis
In November, the Skoda Octavia is the most popular model in the country at 84 units and 5.3%, followed by the Honda CR-V boosted by the new generation at a brilliant 2nd place with 64 sales and 4% with the Toyota Avensis rounding up the podium at 51 units and 3.2%. The year-to-date ranking is a little different: the Avensis leads the way with 745 sales and 4.3% ahead of the Octavia at 690 and 3.9%, the Subaru Legacy (down to #7 in November) at 465 and 2.7% and the Nissan Qashqai at 460 and 2.6%.
Kia Cee’d
Other great performers in November include the Kia Cee’d up to #4 vs. #23 year-to-date, the Hyundai i30 up to #6 vs. #17 YTD, the Opel Astra at #8 vs. #21, Mazda6 at #10 vs. #34, Dacia Duster at #11 vs. #19, Skoda Yeti at #12 vs. #22, VW Tiguan at #14 vs. #33, Renault Clio at #16, Peugeot 3008 at #20 and Jeep Grand Cherokee at #39. Finally, notice the Peugeot 301 registering its first 3 units this month in Estonia.

The Estonian car market is slower by 19% over the first trimester 2010 (2,185 sales), and by 3% in March (864 sales). This is a very small market so the ranking by model is constantly changing. In March, Renault delivers a 1-2 with the Megane 1st at 7.1% and the Scenic 2nd at 5.7%. The Skoda Octavia is 3rd, ahead of the Toyota Avensis. All other models are under 4% market share.
