Chile July 2017: Nissan leads, Chinese up 37% in market up 25%

New car sales in Chile are up 25% year-on-year in July to 28.092 registrations, pushing the year-to-date tally up 17% to 190.755 units. This month Nissan takes command of the brands ranking thanks to a 60% surge yo 9.,3% share, only 7 units above YTD leader Chevrolet up 25% to 9.3% also. Hyundai (+4%) and Kia (-7%) follow while Toyota (+39%), Ford (+46%) and Renault (+54%) frankly beat the market in the Top 10 and Suzuki and Peugeot (+24% both) follow the overall growth. Further down, notice Volkswagen (+73%), Fiat (+52%), Citroen (+44%) and Honda (+50%). Chinese carmakers soar 37% to 10.4% share vs. 9.8% YTD (+44%): Chery leads the way and doubles its sales year-on-year ahead of the Great Wall Group (+58%), JAC (+15%), Dongfeng (+20%), MG (+224%), Changan (+28%), BAIC (+34%) and Foton (+16%).
