The Suzuki Vitara ends 2016 at a splendid 6th place.

In the models ranking, the VW Golf manages to snap the pole position for the third time in the past four years in spite of sales up just 16% to 2.190, distancing the Renault Clio (+13%), Skoda Octavia (+21%) and Opel Astra (+1.5%) all losing market share vs. 2015. The Renault Mégane (+30.5%), Ford Fiesta (+31%), Hyundai Tucson (+110%) and Hyundai i30 (+262%) also impress inside the Top 20. Further down, the Skoda Superb (+129%), Toyota Corolla (+177%), Mazda CX-3 (+197%), VW Tiguan (+247%), Hyundai i20 (+286%), BMW X1 (+288%) and Dacia Logan (+427%) are among the biggest gainers this year.
