Canada December 2013: Honda CR-V on podium, Fit up to #14

The Canadian new car market is up 4% this month to 113,036 registrations, bringing the final 2013 figure to 1.74 million units, also up 4% on 2012. The big news this month is the exceptional performance of a handful of Honda models, no doubt pushed by end-of-year promotions: the CR-V doubles its sales vs. December 2012 and is up 7 spots on last month to land on the podium at #3 with 4,040 sales, and the Fit is up a whopping 435% year-on-year and 38 ranks on November to #14 at 1,909 units.
Other great performers this month in Canada include the GMC Sierra up 37% to #4, Mazda3 up 67% to #9, Toyota RAV4 up 55% to #15, Nissan Rogue up 100% to #15, the Jeep Cherokee up a further 8 spots on last month to #18 with 1,508 sales, Hyundai Tucson up 73% to #24, Subaru Forester up 51% to #26, Jeep Grand Cherokee up 29% to #28 and the Nissan Versa up 119% to #30.
