Poland September 2013: Skoda Octavia back in charge

New car sales in Poland are up a magnificent 16% year-on-year in September to 24,669 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total well into positive at 239,723 units, up 3.5% on 2012. After a two-month absence, the Skoda Octavia reclaims the title of most popular vehicle in the country thanks to 930 sales and 3.8% share. It’s the 4th time the Octavia finishes at #1 this year, but still now enough to dethrone the Skoda Fabia year-to-date at 7,988 units and 3.3% vs. 8,609 and 3.6%. Excellent month for the Fiat Ducato up 4 spots on August to land at #2 with 831 sales and 3.4% vs. #11 and 1.8% year-to-date.
The Ford Focus remains #4 but is now up to #3 year-to-date while the Toyota Auris, surprise leader last month, is down 5 ranks to #6. The Hyundai ix35 impresses, up 9 spots to break into the Polish Top 10 for the third time in the last 10 months. Notice also the Skoda Superb up 26 spots to #20, the Renault Captur up a further 4 to a best-ever #22, the Toyota RAV4 up 8 to #26 vs. #38 year-to-date and the Mazda6 up 10 to #28 vs. #50 year-to-date.
