Thanks to Armands from LPAA I can share with you January figures for Latvia, and the news aren’t good, with new car sales down 12% year-on-year in the country to 911 registrations. Volkswagen keeps the lead of the brands ranking but is down 34% to 132 sales and 14.5% vs. 18.7% in 2012. Toyota is also down to 12% share vs. 14% in 2012 while Peugeot rounds up the podium at 8.8%, followed by Renault at 6% and Opel at 5.4%.

Model-wise, the Peugeot 3008 starts the year very well, holding the January top spot thanks to 40 units sold and 4.4%. It is followed by the VW Golf at 4%, Citroen Berlingo and Fiat 500 both at 3.3% and the Toyota Auris at 3% while the Peugeot 5008 takes the 6th spot at 2.4%. Notice also the Lada Niva at #10, Honda CR-V at #13, Kia Cee’d at #14, Dacia Lodgy at #25, Range Rover at #38 and Skoda Rapid at #61.
