New Zealand December 2012: Toyota Corolla at 14.5% share!

The New Zealand new car market finishes 2012 on a high: up 20% year-on-year in December to 7,751 registrations, which is believed to be the highest monthly total in the country since 1976! This brings the Full Year 2012 total to 100,795 units, up 19% on 2011 and here also a near record (data needed). The Toyota Corolla hits an out-of-this-world 14.5% market share this month thanks to 1,125 sales. It is followed by the Toyota Hilux at 320 units and 4.1% and the Suzuki Swift with 244 sales and 3.1%, reflecting the 2012 winning podium.
The Toyota Yaris stays very high at #4, the Toyota Camry is up 11 spots on November to #5, the Ford Mondeo up 17 to #6 and the Toyota Highlander is up from outside the Top 25 to #7. Further down, notice the Holden Commodore down one rank to #11, the Nissan Qashqai up 8 to #12, the Toyota Aurion back within the Top 20 at #17 and the Suzuki SX4 and Toyota Prius making a very rare appearance at #24 and #26 respectively.
