Vietnam November 2012: Toyota Fortuner improves further

New car sales in Vietnam slow down their fall in November to -4% year-on-year at 8,502 registrations, however the year-to-date total is still down a dismal 28% at 71,860 units. 7th consecutive month in pole position for the Toyota Fortuner at 708 sales and 8.3%, which means it is more dominant than ever in the year-to-date ranking at 5,257 units and 7.3%. The Toyota Innova is up one spot on October to #2 with 628 sales and 7.4%, a full two percentage points above its year-to-date level (5.2%). The Kia Morning also shines at #3 with 556 units and 6.5%, to be compared to 4.7% ytd.
The Toyota Vios is up 2 ranks to #4 while the Toyota Corolla Altis is down 3 to #5 and the Toyota Camry down one to #6. There are however still 5 Toyotas in the Vietnamese Top 6 in November, like in October and year-to-date. Other great performers this month include the Honda CR-V and Toyota Yaris both up 7 spots to #8 and #11 respectively and the Isuzu D-Max up to #21.
