Ukraine November 2012: Renault Logan takes the lead

New reporting system for this month in Urkraine and the year-to-date totals are not consistent with my figures so I am unable to share with you the exact November registrations. After 11 months, the Ukrainian new car market stands at a robust 211,604 units. For the first time this year and potentially due to the current generation being in runout mode, the Renault Logan takes the lead of the Ukrainian models ranking with a brilliant 770 sales, up 6 spots on October and adding up to 5,219 units (#5) year-to-date. The Lada Samara, leader over the last 2 months, is down to #2 with 679 sales, also its year-to-date ranking at 6,796 units below the Skoda Octavia, still #1 year-to-date so far in spite of a 4th place this month, at 7,268 sales.
The ZAZ Sens is down one to #3 and stays #4 year-to-date while the Hyundai Accent is down 2 to #5 but keeps its place on the YTD podium at #3 with 6,326 units. Notice also the VW Polo up 2 to #6, the Kia Sportage up 8 to an excellent 8th place, the Toyota Camry up 16 to #11 and the Hyundai Santa Fe up 17 to #14. The locally produced ZAZ Vida, a rebadged previous gen Chevrolet Aveo, maintains itself within the Top 20 at #18 while the Nissan X-Trail is up 15 to #19.
Further down, the Ford Kuga is up 9 ranks to #21, the Hyundai i30 up 14 to #27, the SsangYong Korando up 5 to #30 vs. #48 YTD, the Kia Cee’d stays at an exceptional #48 vs. #82 YTD, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is up 13 to #51 vs. #80 YTD, the Geely LC/Cross is up 112 spots to #90 with 51 sales for its second month in market, the Citroen C4 Aircross is up 25 to #184 and the Peugeot 4008 is up 15 to #185. Finally, the Peugeot 408 lands directly at #198 with 13 units sold in its first month.
