Czech Republic November 2012: Ford B-Max & Peugeot 301 up

The Czech new car market is down 11% year-on-year in November to 14,203 registrations, however the year-to-date total is still in positive territory, up 2% on 2011 to 161,225 units. After being passed by the Skoda Fabia for the first time in over 2 years last month, the Skoda Octavia reclaims its traditional pole position in November with 1,555 sales and 10.9%, reinforcing its 2012 leadership at 21,046 units and 13.1%. The Skoda Fabia is back to #2 with 1,136 sales and 8% while potential ‘inside threat’ the Skoda Rapid has a hiccup month, down to #20 with just 146 units and 1%…
For the 4th time this year after January, July and September, the Top 4 best-sellers are 100% Skoda. The Superb is up 3 spots on October to #3 with 482 sales and 3.4%, its 2nd highest monthly volume ever behind the 535 units it sold last May, and the Yeti is also up 3 ranks to #4 at 416 units and 2.9%. The Hyundai i30 drops to #5 but stays the best-selling foreign model with a solid 380 sales and 2.7%, ahead of the Skoda Roomster and Renault Thalia, both at 2.6%.
Notice also the Skoda Citigo stabilising around the 10th place, down 2 spots this month to #11, the Ford B-Max up 14 ranks to #19 which is for now its world-best ranking, the Hyundai i40 up 43 to #29, the Dacia Lodgy up 31 to #31, the Subaru Forester up 34 to #43 and the Range Rover Evoque up 38 to #65. Finally, the Peugeot 301 makes its very first appearance in the Czech Top 100 at #70 with 42 units while the Mercedes Citan lands directly at #112 with 21 sales and the Fisker Karma sells its first unit in the country.
