Thailand September 2012: Top 5 models ranking – help needed!

Honda Brio

NOW UPDATED with the Top 20 best-selling brands! Many thanks to Eddy *

The brands ranking shows Toyota unsurprisingly in the lead both in September with 46,568 sales and 35.8% share and year-to-date at 380,751 units and 38.1%. Honda takes the 2nd spot overall in September though, passing Isuzu with 19,465 sales and 14.9% share vs. 10.6% year-to-date. Digging a little deeper shows that Honda’s growth comes from passenger cars where it grabs a huge 27% share in September vs. only 30% for Toyota vs. 23% and 38% year-to-date. This seems to indicate that the Honda Brio is a runaway hit in Thailand…

Every month I give you an update on pick-up sales in Thailand as it is by far the largest segment in the country. However monthly all-models data is extremely rare to find so this is an appeal to you all dear readers! I know one magazine publishes models data monthly in Thailand: it’s called Formula Magazine (see a recent cover below). So if you subscribe to this mag, are visiting Thailand and have the opportunity to buy it, know where I can find it in Sydney, Australia or know how to subscribe to it online please get in touch by clicking on the ‘Contact us’ tab on the site!

The 9 months sales figures are a bit jumbled. Isuzu should be number 2, and Honda is 3 – not the other way around
