Taiwan August 2012: Toyota Wish #2, Lexus RX up to #13

The Taiwanese new car market is up a healthy 12% year-on-year in August to 25,823 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 252,561 units. The Toyota Corolla is in pole position for the 15th time in a row with 2,314 sales and 9%, followed by the Toyota Wish up one spot to #2 at 1,232 units and 4.8% and the Toyota Camry down one to #3 at 1,107 sales and 4.3%. The Nissan Livina is #4 and Nissan Tiida #5, both at 4% market share.
Excellent showings for the Mitsubishi Veryca up 5 ranks to #7, the Toyota Innova up 7 to #8 and the Mitsubishi Delica up 8 to #11, but the most impressive performance by far in Taiwan in August is delivered by the Lexus RX, up 13 spots and doubling its market share compared to July to #13 with 507 units and 2%.
