Just in time for the London Olympics, the UK is the last of the World Top 10 biggest car markets to have its models ranking explored halfway through 2012. New car sales are up 3% year-on-year at 1,057,680 units and the Ford Fiesta stays on top with sales up 15% to 59,570 units and 5.6% market share. Below, the Vauxhall Corsa is up 22% and passes the Ford Focus thanks to 47,147 and 4.5% vs. 43,853 and 4.1%.

You could have made clear in your TTAC article that the Vauxhall was “last” only because it tied with others, including the much cheaper Nissan Cube. I wouldn`t want you to feed in to the negative GM/Opel emphasis that some TTAC authors support.

Fantastic, it is good to have more than a top 10, we obviously love the Fiesta, Ford apparently have concentrated more on private sales this year, it seems to have worked, that is where the growth is this year. The Qashqai and BMW 3 Series just keep on going, it is good to see the Fiat 500 doing so well, they now seem to be everywhere, it is also good to see Toyota recovering from the effects of the terrible Tsunami, and of course not to forget the magnificent Evoque. thanks again. The six months blogs are great.
