For the very first time on Best Selling Cars Blog and thanks to Ldman I can share with you official models sales figures for Jordan! 6,302 new vehicles were sold in the country in March and 17,018 over the first Quarter of 2012. As I had predicted by viewing an exhaustive number of videos of the streets of Amman, the Koreans completely dominate car sales in Jordan with 18 models in the Top 20 both in March and year-to-date! Note these figures may not be 100% complete and some models may be missing.

Kia Frontier

The Kia Frontier pick-up (aka Bongo or K2500) is the best-selling vehicle in Jordan with 785 sales and 12.5% in March and 2,194 units and 12.9% year-to-date. In March the Hyundai Accent is #2 with 595 sales and 9.4%, ranking #4 YTD at 1,665 units and 9.8% while the Hyundai Elantra is #3 both this month at 575 sales and 9.1% and YTD with 1,764 units and 10.4%. #4 in March, the Kia Cerato is up to #2 YTD with 1,875 sales and an excellent 11% market share.

Kia Cerato

Below the Hyundai H1 at #5, the Kia Sportage excels in March at #6 with 308 units and 4.9% vs. #16 YTD, the Hyundai Santa Fe ranks #7 vs. #10 and the Kia Picanto is #12 vs. #15. The Nissan Sunny (#8) and Toyota Hilux (#17) are the only non-Koreans in the Top 20. Other great performers include the Hyundai i20 at #19, the Hyundai i30 at #25 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee at #28.
