The Taiwanese car market is up 9% year-on-year in April to 28,616 units, bringing the year-to-date total to 124,407 registrations, down 6% on 2011. No surprise in pole position: the Toyota Corolla enjoys its 11th consecutive month on top with 2,645 sales and 9.2%. The new gen Toyota Camry confirms its success and stays #2 with a solid 1,630 units and 5.7% while the Toyota Wish rounds up the podium, up 2 spots on last month.

Excellent performance of the newly refreshed Toyota Innova up to a best-ever 4th position with 1,081 sales and 3.8% share. The Nissan Tiida (3.6%) and Toyota Yaris (3%) follow. After a couple of Thailand flood-related months of disruption, Honda is back in the game, placing the Civic at #10 and the Fit at #11. Notice also the Hyundai Elantra up to #16 with 505 sales.
