Taiwan April 2011: 5 Toyotas in Top 5, Toyota Wish #2
Toyota Wish
After allowing the Nissan Tiida to wander in the Top 2 for a couple of months, Toyota is back with a vengeance in April in Taiwan, placing no less than 5 models in the Top5! Unsurprisingly, the Toyota Corolla leads with 2,173 sales and 8.3% share, but the performance of the month is delivered by the Toyota Wish, up 5 spots to #2 with 1,286 sales and 4.9%.
Rounding up the podium is the Toyota Yaris at 1,142 units (4.3%), followed by the Toyota Camry (3.9%) and Vios (3.4%). Best selling non-Toyota, the Mitsubishi Veryca ranks 6th with 3% of the Taiwanese market. The Luxgen 7 SUV is at a solid 7th place, the Hyundai ix35 is getting closer to the Top 10 (#12) and the VW Golf is up 9 spots in 15th place.
Excellent performance of the Mercedes S Class in 25th position with 317 units changing hands in the country this month for a very robust 1.2% market share.
