    Steam :
Actually Ford Focus seems to be overtaking VW Golf.

The Ford Focus and Renault Mégane will definitely outsell the Golf this year because of the launch of the 1.0 EcoBoost/1.6 TDCi ECOnetic and 1.5 dCi Energy 110. Besides the Volvo C30 1.6 D2 94g (until 30th June, after that date it will already loose its status), Auris Hybrid, Insight, Prius and Lexus CT, these two C-segment cars are the only cars in their class which take advantage of (tax) preferences.
So expect a peak in the sales of the Volvo C30 in the upcoming months until June…

Kia is doing very well, good products at good prices. The 508 for a fairly large car is also doing well. Renault are much stronger in the Netherlands than in the UK where sales are declining rapidly (their cars deserve to sell much better than they do)

In the Netherlands, ( I´ve been there last year ) cars are rather expensive as well as their tax and insurance, so the majority of cars on the road are city small cars. The country is also small and population are quite high.

The higher than normal position of the Polo is probably due to the reduced prices (€ 1,900), including the BlueMotion, by far the best selling version of the range (tax preferences): http://www.volkswagen.nl/actie/polo/
