Excellent month for the Taiwanese car market up 27% year-on-year to 22,027 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 62,810 units, down 11%. The Top 2 best-selling models are no surprise: the Toyota Corolla is in pole position for the 9th month in a row with 1,852 sales and 8.4% followed by the Nissan Tiida at 1,126 units and 5.1%. The Toyota Camry rounds up the podium with 1,032 sales and 4.7%.
Below the Nissan Livina solid at #4 and 4.3% share, we find the best performer of the month: thanks to the facelifted model just launched, the Toyota Innova is up 8 spots on January to a fantastic 5th place at 771 units and 3.5%, compared to #30 over the Full Year 2011. Other great performers this month include the Ford Focus up to #9, Hyundai ix35 up to #12, Mercedes C-Class up to #18 and Hyundai i30 up to #21.
