    @patric
    Hi Patric
    You can take a look at this link for an idea of Kia and Hyundai sales in SA unfortunately it only covers sales up to 2010 so the new Elantra will not be represented. http://www.naamsa.co.za/imports/

  4. February 11th, 2012 at 00:05 | #5

    @patric
    Hyundai sells more cars than Kia in South Africa. the elantra and commercial vehicles are very appreciated there

  5. February 10th, 2012 at 23:38 | #6

    Where does Hyundai list in sales in SA. And KIA?
    Which are the best-selling models?

    @Miguel
    Miguel is quite correct. Currently the Elantra and Rio are selling like hot cakes with the ix35 and Sportage dominating the SUV market. These two are just not spending any time on the showroom floor and there are long waiting lists for both. Models that can be added to Miguel’s list is the Accent (a real bargain) and the little i10, in most cases the first choice of buyers deciding against older technology cars like the Figo and Vivo. Hyundai boasts an extremely good reputation for reliability and many South Africans view them as on par and in some case even better than Toyota

    Hi Miguel. I think what Dario is referring to is your heading “February” As we are still in February the figures must be for January.

    @wolfsburg
    Hi wolsburg! I´ve been in South Africa last year to visit my sister who lives there since 1974. I can tell you that I saw lots of kias Picanto, Sorento, Sportage and Rio… Hyundais Elantra, i 20 and i 30, commercial vehicles and some Ssangyong.The Elantra is quite appreciated there and its price is attractive.

    Hi Miguel… Which korean model is popular in South Africa?

  13. February 9th, 2012 at 00:29 | #16

    @Dario
    Dario this figures were taken by the South african newspaper The citizen. South Korean marques do not inform about them models sales in S.A. don´t know why, only know that they ( Hyundai, Kia and Ssangyong) sell large numbers in that country.
