Venezuela October 2011: Ford Fiesta most popular

Venezuelan car sales are stable in October at 10,394 registrations but down 4% year-to-date at 99,715 units. For only the second time in the last 12 months, the Ford Fiesta leads the ranking with 983 sales and 9.5% share. The Venezuelan Fiesta is a facelifted version of the 1999 model and is #2 year-to-date at 8,961 units and 9% share. Another veteran, the Hyundai Getz, rises to #2 with 661 sales and 6.4%, it is #13 year-to-date at 2,981 units and 3%.
The Chevrolet Aveo, leader year-to-date at 15,266 sales and 15.3%, is down to #3 in October at 639 units and 6.1%, its weakest score in a year. Excellent month for the Chevrolet Luv (aka Isuzu D-Max) at #4 with 602 sales, while the Chevrolet Cruze confirms it is a force to be reckoned with in Venezuela, ranking 5th for its 2nd month in market with 567 units and 5.5%.
