As usual we have one month delay to report Turkish sales, down for the second time this year at – 6% and 39,964 registrations. The year-to-date total is still in the green by a large margin, up 32% at 412,103 units. The Renault Symbol is leading the way with 2,552 sales and 6.4% share, reinforcing its 2011 leadership at 27,007 units and 6.6%.
The Fiat Linea is back up to #2 in September with 2,182 sales and 5.5%, ahead of the Renault Fluence at 2,057 units and 5.1%. The Hyundai Accent Era, still in dealerships despite the arrival of the new generation called Accent Blue, is even up to #4 at 3.8% share, probably helped by heavy promotions to get rid of the stock.
Other good performers this month include the VW Polo at #8 and 3%, the VW Golf at #11 and 2.3%, the Honda Civic at #14 and 1.8% and the Nissan Juke at #21 and 1.3%. Thanks to the new generation, the VW Tiguan breaks into the Top 25 at #25 with 441 sales and 1.1%.
