Finland October 2011: Skoda Octavia now #1 year-to-date

The Finnish car market continues on its good run, up 5% in October at 9,953 registrations and 13% year-to-date at 108,726 units. For the first time in over a year, the Toyota Avensis takes the lead of the market this month with an excellent 521 sales and 5.2% share. However this month’s hero is the Skoda Octavia, #2 in October at 500 units and 5% but now #1 year-to-date with 5,031 sales and 4.6% vs. 4,980 for the VW Golf, down to #3 this month.
The VW Passat is at a strong 4th place with 362 sales and 3.6%, ahead of the Nissan Qashqai down 3 spots on September at 2.6% and the Ford Focus down 3 spots at 2.3%. Good performers this month include the Volvo V70 up to #10, the Hyundai i20 at #14, the VW Jetta at #15, the Citroen C4 up 14 spots to #16 and the Kia Venga up to #17.
