Slovenia September 2011: Clio back to #1, Kia Rio shines

Slovenian car sales are down 4% in September at 4,523 registrations and stable year-to-date at 46,378 units. After a two month-absence, the Renault Clio reclaims the pole position with 287 sales and 6.3% share, reinforcing its 2011 top spot at 2,961 units and 6.4%. The VW Polo stays 2nd with 180 sales and 4% and ranks 3rd year-to-date below the Renault Megane, down two spots this month to #3 at 140 units and 3.1%.

Other good performers in the Top 10 are the VW Passat up to #5 (vs. #14 YTD), the Fiat Punto Evo up to #7 (vs. #13) and the Peugeot 308 up to #10 (vs. #18). Two models make their first appearance in the Slovenian ranking: the new generation Kia Rio arrives directly at #25 with 53 sales and 1.2% share and the Hyundai i40 is #47 at 33 units and 0.7%. Notice also the Ford Kuga at #29 and the VW Jetta at #38.
