At 3,197 registrations, the Croatian car market is up 7% in September and 12% year-to-date at 32,809 units. After Police orders impacting on Skoda Octavia sales in March, it’s now taxi fleets that rejig the Croatian models ranking this month. Oryx Taxi, a new company operating in Zagreb, received 100 shining new VW Passats this month and it is enough to make it the best-selling car in the country with 165 sales and 5.2% share. The Hyundai i30 drops 5 spots to #6 while Opel struggles this month with the Astra #7 (#2 year-to-date) and the Corsa #8 (#4 year-to-date). Other good performers include the Kia Cee’d at #10 and the Peugeot 207 at #11.
