Nissan Juke

* NOW UPDATED with the Top 130 best-selling models: see ‘Read more’ at end of post *

Notice the Citroen DS5 climbing to #101 with 178 sales, the relaunched Kia Rio up to #103 at 156 units and the Audi A7 at #119 with 111 sales…

Citroen DS5

In an uncertain economic climate, the French car market delights at +3% in August with 108,530 registrations, and +0.4% year-to-date at 1,493,813 units. The Renault Clio continues to dominate thanks to heavy promotions with 7,867 sales and an excellent 7.2% market share, its highest in at least 2 years.

The Peugeot 207 is for once very far behind at only 4% share and 4.327 sales and the Citroen C3 climbs back onto the podium at 3,827 units and 3.5% share. The Renault Twingo is at its best since February in 4th place with 3,531 sales (3.3%), here again due to large price cuts.

Renault Clio

Up 8 spots on July to #6 and 3% share, the Dacia Duster is just short of its best-ever performance lodged last April (#6 at 3.1%). VW places the Polo (#9) and Golf (#10) in the Top 10.

The Nissan Juke is the star of the month: after breaking into the Top 30 for the first time in April, it is up 5 spots on July to reach a fantastic 21st place, only 13 units short of the Top 20 with 1,339 sales and 1.2% share. The Juke is now the 2nd best-selling Japanese car in France ahead of the locally-produced Toyota Yaris.

tu n’as pas encore corrigé les chiffres ?

Matgasnier: you were mistaken the figures of eight months for the Superb and the Yeti.

    SUPERB 1688 + 9 %
    YETI 1551 + 25 %

    And the info: ROOMSTER 76 – 19 % / 8 mois 840 – 9 %

    Bonsoir Fabio83,
Euh yes, but Citroën models (except the XM,…) are selling slowly, it’s not like Peugeot, Renault and other brands ….
And then do not forget that the C4 has only one body (5 doors hatchback), no SW, no 3-door hatchback no convertible…
Hatchback this year 2011: the C4 is before the 308 and the Megane. The C3 is before the Clio III and 207..
Otherwise you can count the C4 with the DS4, the C3 with the DS3, etc … The C3/DS3 is No. 1 …

you’re right… it’s the same “problem” for other cars with an unique body (like FIAT Bravo here in Italy where not sell so much because there aren’t SW, 3-door or MPV). so, thanks very much for the new information!

    Nothing
And there have also the Alfa Romeo Giullietta …
Have you never the figures of bodies for Italy?!

just a SW for the FIAT Stilo… then nothing. There were some project for a new MPV and SW for the Bravo but then FIAT canceled those models, there weren’t enough money and this was the idea of Marketing Director (Luca di Meo, now in VW) to do a single body for every model, now FIAT will design the new Bravo like Nissan that canceled the Almera for a crossover, the Qashqai.

The new Citroen C4 sell less than the older model… i’ve thought in a more success for a new, and very good, car.

Renault remonte fort devant Peugeot et Citroën grâce aux braderies de la Clio et de la Twingo! L’une des marques est la plus bradée.
