Finland August 2011: Skoda Octavia and Toyota Avensis dominate

The Finnish market has been very healthy this year and August is no exception, with sales up 16% at 9,882 units, bringing the year-to-date figure to 88,779 registrations, up 15%. For the 4th time in the last 12 months, the Skoda Octavia is the best-selling car in the country with 409 sales and 4.1% share, but stays #2 year-to-date at 4,045 units and 4.6% behind the VW Golf at 4,204 sales and 4.7%.
The Toyota Avensis is up one spot to #2 at 394 units and 4%, ahead of the Nissan Qashqai with 387 sales and the VW Golf at 384 units, both at 3.9% share. The VW Passat closes the Top 5 with 301 sales and 3%. Notice the Mercedes C Class in the Top 10 for the second consecutive month at #10, the Mercedes E Class up 14 spots on July to #13 and the Citroen C4 up 5 spots to #16.

I think the same Fabio. The revised Avensis show in Frankfurt is pretty. Toyota models are attractive even same sold only in Japan like the Mark X, Sai…
i agree with you! and now with the new model that Toyota will show in Frankfurt, Avensis will sell more over!
The Avensis is really a good car, quite reliable. It´s been a success in some European countries mainly the nordics.
