more info on fiat freemont Meantime, Fiat’s hollering for more Dodge Journeys, which it sells in Europe as Fiat Freemonts and powers with diesel engines. It’s an odd turn of events. In the U.S., Journey’s an overlooked player in the midsize crossover-utility market. In Europe, it’s considered a big minivan and is a hot seller.

Trade publication Automotive News Europe reports from Turin, Italy, that Fiat already has 15,700 orders for Freemont, though it had planned to sell just 13,000 all this year.

Journey/Freemont comes from Chrysler’s Toluca, Mexico, factory and the automaker is “looking for ways to get Fiat 4,000 Freemonts every month without the added cost of overtime,” ANE reports.
