Czech Republic May 2011: Skoda Octavia and Fabia up

Czech car sales are down slightly in May at -3% and 15,482 registrations, but still up 2% year-to-date at 72,128 units. The Skoda Octavia and Fabia still dominate as usual, and both models improve their market shares on April at 12.7% and 8.9% respectively, coming very close to their 2011 levels (13.4% and 8.8%).
The VW Golf passes the Ford Focus to climb on the podium in 3rd place with 494 sales and 3.2%, the Ford Fusion is up 9 spots to land back in the Top 5 at #5 with 390 sales and 2.5% and the Opel Astra is up an astounding 19 spots to #8 with 308 sales and 2%. The Hyundai ix20 delivers its best month in Czech Republic to date in 14th place with 241 sales and 1.6%.
Further down the ranking, notice the Porsche Cayenne up to the 115th position with 21 sales and 0.1% of the Czech car market…
