Croatia January-February 2011: Skoda Octavia new leader
The Croatian car market is on its way to recovery over the first 2 months of 2011, up 20% at 6,652 registrations. After 6 years of domination of the Opel Astra (albeit challenged by the VW Polo last year), 2011 looks like it will be the stage for a massive change atop the models ranking: the Skoda Octavia takes the lead with no less than 9% of the market!
That’s 3 times its 2010 market share (it was 6th then), and exactly double the sales of the Opel Astra, down to #2 at 4.5% share. The Renault Megane takes the 3rd spot at 276 sales and 4.1%. There are two newcomers in the Top 10: the Dacia Sandero in 8th place at 2.6% and the Renault Fluence in 10th at 2.4%.
