Denmark July 2026: Toyota bZ4X best-seller, Xpeng up to record #8
The Toyota bZ4X is the most popular vehicle in Denmark in July.
14,562 new cars found a Danish buyer in July, a solid 5.4% year-on-year improvement. The year-to-date volume is up an even more satisfying 11.8% to 115,594. BEVs hold a stunning 80.1% share this month,, hybrids 2.9%, mild hybrids 9.5%, petrol 4.9% and diesel 2.3%. Year-to-date, BEVs account for 79.,9% of the Danish market. Volkswagen (-32.3%) reclaims the brands top spot off Toyota (+185.6%) despite losing significant ground YoY. Skoda (-33.6%) is up three spots on last month to #3, distancing BMW (+1.9%) and Mercedes (+9.8%). Cupra (-28.3%) is up to #6 and 5.3% share but skids YoY. Xpeng (+542.1%) is up to a record 8th place with a best ever 4.2% share, breaking its previous ranking record of #10 set last December. Citroen (+677.9%) is also euphoric at #9 while Tesla (+51.2%) falls to #10.
Model-wise, the Toyota bZ4X (+1359.5%) surges 15-fold year-on-year to score its third monthly win of 2026 after Januar and February. Toyota’s star EV is #2 year-to-date below the Skoda Elroq (-41.9%) imploding this month but still managing a 2nd place. Distant leader last month, the Tesla Model Y (+84.7%) stuns at #3 which is quite a performance for a start of quarter month. The VW ID.4 (-30.6%) and Xpeng G6 (+623.1%) round out the Top 5 ahead of the VW ID.Buzz (-6.4%) and Skoda Enyaq (-14.3%). The BMW iX3 (+8050%) breaks into the Top 10 for the first time at #8 just as the Citroen C3 (+1126.1%) and Mercedes GLB (+522.7%) also score surreal gains in the remainder of the Top 10.
