Oman Q1 2026: Toyota up to 49.5% share
Toyota holds almost half of the Omani market in Q1.
The Omani new car market slides -6.1% year-on-year over Q1 to 17,354 units. Toyota (+0.4%) is stable and as a result improves its share from 46.3% to 49.5%. Hyundai (+2.2%) is also solid at 6.4% of the market but Nissan (+53%) and Jetour (+23.7%) do much better and impress. Nissan is up three spots on a year ago to #3 and Jetour up one to #4. Suzuki (+23.7%) and Lexus (+8.3%) are also up in the remainder of the Top 10 whereas Kia (-44%) and Isuzu (-42.8%) skid.
Over in the models charts, the Toyota Hilux (-2.8%) sees its share grow from 13.7% to 14.2%, followed by the Toyota Land Cruiser (-5.6%) and the Land Cruiser Pickup (-2.9%) also resisting slightly better than the market. The Top 5 is unchanged on a year ago with the Jetour T2 (-0.3%) at #4 and the Toyota Ace (-19.7%) at #5. The Toyota Yaris Sedan (+165.2%), Prado (+80.5%) and Hyundai Accent (+33.9%) impress below.
