Colombia Full Year 2025: Kia and K3 post first ever wins, market up 21%

Very solid year for new vehicle sales in Colombia at +21% to 254,438 units, keeping in mind 2023 and 2024 were both poor. After lodging its first monthly wins in 2024, Kia surges 40.5% to snap the brands pole position for the first time in 2025. It dominated the ranking in February, April, July, September and December and finishes the year less than 400 sales above Renault (+32.9%), also in great shape. Leader last year, Toyota (-12.2%) endures the only YoY drop in the Top 24 and sees its share thaw from 12.9% to 9.3%. Mazda (+20.1%) overtakes Chevrolet (+7.5%) to #5 with Hyundai (+62.4%), Volkswagen (+34.4%) and Suzuki (+28%) also beating the market below. The best performer in the Top 10 is BYD (+137.3%), peaking at #5 and 6% share in December.

Over in the models charts, similarly to the brand, the Kia K3 (+65.4%) posts its first ever annual win with a sturdy 3.8% share. Last year’s #1, the Mazda CX-30 (+12.7%), drops to #2 while the Renault Duster Nacional (+16.1%) stays in third place. The Kia Picanto (+27.4%) is up one spot to #4 whereas the Toyota Corolla Cross (-2.1%) sinks three ranks to #5 – it topped the charts halfway through the year. Excellent scores for the Chevrolet Onix (+51.9%) and Mazda2 (+51%). The BYD Yuan Up ends its first full year of sales at a splendid 8th place while the Renault Kardian breaks into the Top 10 at #9.
